By having a guideline you can go straight to your plan and it will also provide the clarity to help you achieve a successful career. A career plan could take several months or even a year of planning. It will depend on what you want to accomplish and the company in which you work. Below you can several useful tips to help you organize your career plan.

Set your goals

It is important to always have a goal to be achieved. Carole Kanchier an author of Dare to Change and also a career counselor said that goals have to be based on who you are so that they are more attainable. Find out who you really are and try to dig your skills deeper to help you set a career goal. Get to know yourself and try to understand about your interests, values, strengths, assets, passions, ideal workplace environment, and skills that you love most. Explore your personality, understand your emotions, and learn how to manage them, it will really helpful to reach your goal. Try to set a specific goal, so you can prepare and plan it clearly. For an example you want to find a job in the medical field or be promoted to the team leader position at your company. Once you have a clear goal that will be easy for you to make a plan.

Make your plan in specific language, so you can articulate your career goals and needs. Try to summarize your plan and what you are looking for in your goals in speech for about 30 seconds to make you well-prepared, as suggested by Russell. So, if you are fluent in both write and speak your plan it will ease you to achieve the goals.
